Introducing: My First Grandchild

Our latest photo, a week before my daughter gave birth, with our friend Chinz.

Finally, the long wait is over. My daughter and her husband have given me my advance 60th birthday present. Four months in advance, so to speak and I have no complain. I am very very very grateful. I thanked God after some sleepless nights with butterflies in my tummy, the most beautiful Grand-daughter came to me in great suspense!

And I am more than happy to share her with you. Both mother and baby are in fine condition. I just can't believe how wonderful it is to feel to be a Grandmother for the first time. Like a first time mother, I too was full of intense anticipation. What matters most to me is that, she came out healthy and beautiful, what else!

She was born last Monday. A normal delivery with the help from the father. He was very much involved since the beginning up to the birthing process. He was the one who pulled the baby out to safety and cut her umbilical cord. What an exciting new experience for a first time daddy! This man is very gracious. I was excited and happy when he shared with me his one in a million experience. And He thanked me afterward.

I was home as instructed. So that was it! Every hour I had been updated until the baby finally came out to say, "Hello World!"

For now, they are back to their own home settling well and catching up some good sleep.

This great news surely has recompensed my long absence from blogging.

Note: I am still having problem getting back to you to post comment in your blogs. I have no idea why this is happening. So my apology if you haven't seen me posting comments around. I have tried and they won't get through.
