Reflecting over Susan's Meanderings

I like how people meanders. Many wittingly come up with variety of interesting and thought provoking topics, issues and themes. One of them is Susan Deborah. She sets your mind working and lets you reflect and ponder over your own thoughts.

For a long time, I haven't blogged. While I can post here and there and mainly at Facebook with comments, poems and photos; while I can update my other blogs with other stuff, my main blog (this one) truly suffers.

All the things I intend to post went off my head. I did lots of jottings but I just feel they are not worth blogging. Let's see how much prodding and nudging I need for me to keep going. Brains do sometimes get dry. They need the right uplifting injections. I think my ideas are getting exhausted by over-sharing them in preachy moods all over the place.

I wandered away too much too many times. My recent trip to the far south coast should be blogged. But until now, not even a draft was scribbled. Anyhow I did enjoy my holiday over there. And this year, hopefully, God willing too, I might be able to visit my homeland after 23 long years of absence. My sister and I will meet up there and hopefully, my daughters will be able to join me in our family reunion. Nothing has been set yet as we are still in the process of organizing our thoughts and plans.

One of the itineraries aside visiting our parents tomb,is to pay tribute to our last remaining patriarch on our father side, who will turn 100 years old this middle of the year. If all goes well, I'll meet my grown-up nephews and nieces for the first time. Some I met when they were little. Others missed out on me when I left my hometown to work in Manila prior to coming to Australia.

  1. I hope you can make the trip to your homeland. That would be a wonderful visit and a chance to renew your roots, which we all need to do once in a while.
